A lasting partnership between Mercedes-Benz and Initial Contact began when the luxury car company’s marketing agency sought adrenaline-raising apparel and gear for their AMG Driving Academy. An ongoing collaboration continues as Initial Contact produces upscale apparel, headwear, high-end executive accessories, tech and more for Mercedes-Benz personnel, clients, and events. Initial Contact most recently outfitted the Mercedes-Benz executive team with customized OGIO backpacks in conjunction with the company’s purchased naming rights of Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. Initial Contact maintains a close working relationship with the company’s marketing agency as their go-to for excellence in unique branded goods.
Caribbeing and Initial Contact were brought together by another satisfied NY client. Caribbeing is a thriving organization that stands at the crossroads of film, art and culture. They were looking to scale their apparel and merchandise lines, and wanted to discuss avenues for expansion. The Initial Contact team presented a wide array of Caribbean-themed apparel and soft goods. As the project progressed, custom tote bags, aprons, and pillows became the front runners. Initial Contact’s partner bag supplier designed a bespoke sublimation-style bag and apron with custom labeling. The tote bags were selected for retail space at the Brooklyn Museum.
Initial Contact promotes the fierce exploration of alternative types of swag: things that transcend the ‘norms’ of promo. The items created over the several-year-long relationship with Land-Rover are no exception. Initial Contact worked in conjunction with a leading US instrument company to create a custom gauge that was heavy duty, high quality, and perfectly aligned with Land-Rover’s dedication to quality, strength, service and adventure. The gauge was used for various marketing endeavors, including customer appreciation gifts and POS retail.

When boutique motorcycle restoration shop Apex Cycle needed a merchandise revamp, the family-owned company selected Initial Contact to rev it up. Initial Contact outfitted them with vintage-inspired tees, welding hats, beard oil labels, custom drinkware and more to grow Apex’s brand from one of service to lifestyle.
Multi-Channel Marketing Program
Sherwin Williams and Initial Contact maintain an ongoing branding, marketing and merchandise partnership that facilitates the brand’s major anniversary events, annual sales meetings and store branding programs throughout the Southeastern US and Caribbean markets. A standout client holiday gift concept saw Initial Contact re-imagine Sherwin Williams paint cans as unique presentation for Pantone color-themed snacks, produce custom labels, liaise with gourmet food supplier and drop ship to top clientele to tremendous acclaim and demand. Initial Contact also co-branded industrial DEWALT radios for Sherwin Williams as specialty customer appreciation gifts to keep their brand presence at full volume on client work sites.

A leading cosmetic company approached Initial Contact to create a lasting, luxury gift with purchase for its top tier clientele. Initial Contact answered with a delicate hand-designed gold leaf necklace that hat-tipped the company’s botanical ingredients and Asian heritage. A capsule collection of complimentary keepsake items followed to accompany a cosmetic product launch and executive management incentivizing.
Apparel & Gifts
Initial Contact’s ongoing partnership with The Fabulous Fox Theatre spans an iconic “Save The Fox” historic preservation campaign celebration, the theatre’s 40th anniversary events, and most recently the unveiling of the venue’s new VIP club and membership program. Initial Contact outfitted staff, curated a capsule collection of retail and fundraising memorabilia and designed luxe client and sponsor appreciation gifts that honor the theatre’s continuing place in the spotlight.
